Warri Cup 2018

Sunday 18th March 18 Sailing Vessels took to the water for the Warri Cup, Airlie Beach to Langford Island and return race. With South Easterly winds between 15 to 25 knots and smooth seas the 3 divisions had a perfect sail out and return. Abell Point Yacht Club and Whitsunday Sailing Club combined for an inter club race. Kevin Foggarty prepared the handicaps, was the race starter and recorded the finish for the fleet. Kevin’s job as handicapper was not an easy one with so many different vessels and so many new vessels and new skippers but was well done and appreciated very much by Abell Point Yacht Club and the competitors. Thank you Kevin.

Race presentations  and get together with skippers and crews was held at Abell Point Marina on Ocean Club which is proving to be a fantastic Venue for Club Functions.
