Applying for Membership

Membership is open to all who have an interest in boating.  The Abell Point Yacht Club no longer supplies Australian Sailing (AS) numbers.  Registration with Yachting Australia is required to compete in all races including the Warri Cup, Round the Molles race, Airlie Beach Race Week, Hamilton Island Race Week and Magnetic Island Race Week. If you do not need to register on the Yachting Australia database for an AS number (the old Silver Card number), then you can just join as an Individual/Couples Member (Ordinary Membership).  The Whitsunday Sailing Club supplies AS numbers for $15 per day.

Membership with the Abell Point Yacht Club will also give you a membership card with the Whitsunday Sailing Club for 10% off all drinks and food in their bar and restaurant.

Consideration of your application

All applications must go to the Management Committee for approval prior to acceptance – Management Committee meetings are held once a month.

Your payment must be received within 30 days of your application or that application will lapse and you will have to apply again.
