The North Queensland Cruising Yacht Club (NQCYC) in Bowen will hold their Cock O’ Gloucester Race on the last weekend of July each year.  They always invite members of the Abell Point Yacht Club and the Whitsunday Sailing Club to join in for the weekend.

The weekend starts off with a beach party at Frog Rock beach, just north of the Cape Gloucester Resort, on the Friday afternoon with BYO food, drinks BBQ and firewood (if you can) around 4.30/5pm.

The Saturday sees the Cock O’ Gloucester race head off at 11.00am with a race around Gloucester Island.
